Thermal adhesive machines don't have particularly high requirements for thermal adhesives—basically, any thermal adhesive can be used. However, to achieve optimal bonding performance, it's important to select the right thermal adhesive machine and thermal adhesive. Even without specialized tools, you can still identify the quality of a thermal adhesive to some extent. Below, we’ll introduce you to several simple methods.

A quick method to identify the quality of hot melt adhesive:
1. Carefully examine the appearance of the hot melt adhesive for bubbles or impurities.
2. Identify by smell—if the odor is pungent, it indicates that the filling content is high or the raw materials are substandard.
3. Squeeze it with your hands to feel the flexibility of the hot melt adhesive.
4. Melt the hot melt adhesive to form a 2mm-thick tape, then stretch it and check whether the tensile strength meets the basic standard.
5. Place the hot melt adhesive in an environment below 0 degrees Celsius. After 24 hours, remove it and tap it—if it shows signs of cracking, it indicates poor low-temperature resistance. Place the hot melt adhesive in an environment above 40 degrees Celsius. After 24 hours, remove it—if it becomes soft or exhibits self-adhesion, it means the adhesive has a low softening point.
